Our Inaguaral 2025 Cohort

We are actively building very first cohort of Pamoja Africa Fund Fellows. Currently we have a portfolio of grassroots, African-led organizations hailing from 6 member states in the East African Community (EAC): Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Burundi, Kenya and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Our unique selection criteria is detailed below. Funding planned for disbursal by year-end 2025. Stay tuned for the official announcement of our first cohort of East African fellows!

PAF Fellows Selection Criteria:

Operating in and registered in one of 54 African countries.

Locally-led with active African board members based who provide oversight.

Annual budget SMALLER than $300k, with limited exceptions made for larger-sized budgets that still fit our other selection criteria and will clearly benefit from our fund's support.

Provenly-effective Program Model with measurable, visible impact, with an operational history of five years or longer, with good leadership and basic organizational systems in place.

Approved strategic plan of 3-5 years in place with clear growth path to scale and sustainability and accompanied operational budget.

Demonstrated track record of raising funds, yet is currently struggling to raise more funds for scaling their impact. Organization must have the capability to raise 30-50% of their budget from other sources.

Ability to foster collaboration at the regional level and willingness to complete site visits to like-minded Pamoja Africa Fund Fellows that you are matching in

Availability to participate in PAF capacity building programs, especially the regional Innovation Lab biannual organizational development and networking conference
